1. Our approach
This policy is part of the Chefnomics Terms and Conditions and applies to plans bought from CHEFNOMICS TECHNOLOGIES W.L.L. ("Chefnomics", "we").
You pay when you sign up, and access starts straight away. There is no free trial and no free plan. Because you get full access straight away and can cost your whole menu in a single day, we do not refund time you have already paid for, even if you decide afterwards that you do not want to keep using Chefnomics. We do refund you when something goes wrong on our side, as described below. Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under Bahraini law that cannot be excluded by contract, including your rights if we fail to provide the service you paid for.
2. When you can get a refund
We refund you in these cases:
- A duplicate or wrong charge. You were charged twice for the same period, or charged more than the price you agreed at checkout. We refund the extra amount in full.
- A charge after a valid cancellation. You cancelled correctly, after any 3-month minimum was complete, and we still charged you for a later period. We refund that charge in full.
- A serious fault on our side. Chefnomics was unavailable to you, or a fault in the service stopped you using it properly, for 3 days in a row, and we could not fix it in that time. We refund the part of the paid period you could not use, or, if you prefer, add the same time to your plan.
If you think something else went wrong, tell us. We look at each case fairly and may refund where it is right to do so.
3. When we do not give a refund
We do not refund:
- time you have already paid for, because you changed your mind, no longer need Chefnomics, or have already costed your menu and do not want the other features;
- the rest of a paid month or year after you cancel. You keep access until the paid period ends;
- a plan or add-on you did not use;
- a price or figure that looks wrong because of data you entered, or a decision you made using the figures (see section 6 of the Terms);
- a restaurant add-on once it has started, and a lost founder price (see the Terms);
- charges made by your own bank or card provider, such as foreign exchange or card fees.
4. Monthly plans and the 3-month minimum
A monthly plan has a minimum commitment of 3 months. You cannot cancel it until three monthly payments have been completed. The minimum total is USD 75, charged as BHD 28.200 in three monthly payments. We show this at checkout and ask you to confirm it before you pay.
Monthly plans are paid by card or Apple Pay, so each monthly payment is collected automatically. After the third payment, you can cancel at any time. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the month you have paid for, and the plan does not renew.
The 3-month minimum is not a reason for a refund. The only exceptions are the cases in section 2.
If a monthly payment fails, we try the card once more 15 minutes after the first failure, and we email you when the first payment fails. If that also fails, your account is locked right away until the payment is made, and paying unlocks it at once.
5. Annual plans, extra restaurants and payment methods
- Annual plans. You pay once and have access for 12 months. We do not refund the rest of the year if you cancel part-way through, but you keep access until the year ends and the plan does not renew.
- Extra restaurants. An extra restaurant is an add-on. On a monthly plan, you pay USD 5 when you add a restaurant. That payment covers its first month, which starts at your next renewal, so the days until then are free. After that it is billed with your plan each month. On an annual plan, it runs for 12 months from the day you add it and ends exactly one year later. It is not prorated, does not pause and is not refunded if you stop using it.
- Removing a restaurant or changing plan. You can change your plan at any time. You can move from monthly to yearly at any time, including during the 3-month minimum. The yearly plan then starts when the month you have already paid for ends, and nothing is charged when you switch. Yearly to monthly takes effect when your yearly term ends. You can set up either change in advance. On a monthly plan you can remove a restaurant at any time and keep it until the end of the month you paid for, and then its payments stop. On a yearly plan, removing a restaurant does not reduce or refund the yearly payment.
- Cards and Apple Pay renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel before the renewal date if you do not want the next charge. You get a receipt email for each payment.
- Benefit and Benefit Pay are available for annual plans only. They pay one year at a time and do not renew by themselves. If you want to continue, you pay again when the year ends. We email you reminders 14 days and 3 days before it ends.
- Currency. Prices are shown in US dollars and charged in Bahraini dinars. Refunds go back to the method you paid with, in the amount charged in dinars. We use a fixed rate of USD 1 = BHD 0.376. We may refund all or part of a charge, depending on what went wrong. Your bank may take a few days to show it. We do not charge you any fee for a refund.
6. How to cancel and what happens next
- Sign in and open Settings, then Plan and Billing, and choose to cancel.
- If you are still inside the 3-month minimum on a monthly plan, the app blocks cancelling and tells you why. You can cancel once the third payment is complete.
- You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. The plan does not renew.
- When the paid period ends, your account is locked. We keep your data, locked, for 12 months so you can come back, and we email a reminder 30 days before it is deleted. You can download your data before then.
- If your plan ends (you cancelled, or a yearly Benefit plan was not paid by its end date) or a renewal payment fails, you keep the founder price if you restart or pay within 3 days. After that, the founder price is lost and you pay the price in force at that time.
7. How to ask for a refund, timing and chargebacks
- How to ask. Email support@chefnomics.com from the address on your account. Tell us the date of the charge, the amount and what went wrong. Please ask within 30 days of the charge.
- Our reply. We aim to answer within 5 working days. If we agree, we refund to the method you paid with. Your bank or card provider may take a further few days to show it.
- Chargebacks. Please contact us first. We can usually fix a billing mistake faster than a bank dispute. A dispute over a charge that follows these terms may lead us to suspend the account while it is looked into.
8. Changes to this policy, and contact
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. A change does not affect a period you have already paid for. This is version 1.0, effective 5 November 2026.
